in the list greek electric , there is a radio called "radio ageri". they will be presenting the cd for another hour or so.

anyway. the cd from alkinoos is a new presentation of cypriots songs from the middle ages till today. as he also sais that is not a follklore presentation of the cypriot music but with an attempt to sho respect to the tradition.

that means he has not turn them to pop , or didnot any dancing bit so they can be played in dicsos (thang god).

he used violin (and other instruments of this family) lute, flute , as well as trditional percation instruments.

great cd.
kind of modernisation of cypriot music, but with respect to the cypriot tradition (no dancing bits , electric intruments etc).

i can burn it for the participants in our next meeting if you people are interested Wink
