Mate, some of your posts are sound, some very funny, and some just shows you can't deal with a comment, so you resort to personal insults. If you feel that annoyed, don't respond, and if you must, find a more intelligent, respectful way to do it. Others can, why not you?

No one out to impose a view on anyone else, but if we can't share ideas/thought without a few people generating bad vibes, not good for any of us. So give Erolz a break - if he was being inconsistent and biased as you say, we would all say so. But I think the Mods here are pretty fair and it's all voluntary, so give da man a break!

You have no idea of some of the petty reasons why I have been given a warning.

It seems when its a Turk or Turkish Cypriot doing the same, Erolz does his best to find a technicality in the forum rules like its an episode of LA Law or something.

I even got a warning just for calling someone the word 'ignorant' lol.

Firtsly the above was sent to you as a PM (private message) in response to you reporting zans post. The public posting of personal/private messages is considered bad internet behaviour.

Secondly I make clear that the decision I made is a judgement call. I made clear that you are welcome to have this call made by me reviewd by any other mods/admins - which include Greek Cypriot as well as non cypriot indivduals.

What people have been given warnings for in the past is publiuc record. All quarantined posts can be viewed by members and they can review these to see if they thinkj the decision was a fair one or not.

You claim the site is pro Turkish (whatever that means) - yet the reality it is run jointly by Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot and non Cypriots and remains one of the most 'open' forums around - with a policy of no removal of any posts , only quaranting of such posts and a balanced asmin team. If there is any other such forum out there for Cyprus issue please feel free to use it and to recommend it to those here.

The bottom line is many many posters post here all the time without ever insulting other members. You are not one of them. In fact you are one of the leading posters re insulting people. If you did not do this then you would not recieve warnings. It really is that simple. If the applying of the rules to you is evidence of 'pro turkish' bias of the site, then yest the site is 'pro turkish'.

...at the end of the day, not that I was offended but I just wanted to make a point that saying someone is 'talking shit' in most peoples eyes is probably just as offensive as calling someone a mug.

Hey, no need to make this a Turkish Cypriot-Greek Cypriot issue. That's as bad as blowing up the School Incident, just polarizing everyone.

Rules are there for all to see. If you feel hard done by, why not get a review as Erolz says?

Also, if you were out & about and met some people, you talk about X topic, unless you very familiar to them, I'm sure you would not say to them "you're talking sh*t" or "you're a mug" - to mates yes. As this not a mates forum, there are other more polite ways to say this.

But why insult at all - just post the counter fact and let everyone else draw the conclusion s/he is talking crap...

Good God, leave the forum for a few hours and DLS throws his toys out of the pram once again... although I guess saying that means I am supposedly 'pro-Turkish'.

DLS, I saw nothing in Erol's PM which demonstrates bias against you because of your being of Greek-Cypriot extraction. The reason why you accrue so many warnings (and subsequent bans) is simply because of your patent inability to engage in civilised dialogue and as a number of people have pointed out 'argue the point not the person'.

If anything, it is you that has consistently demonstrated bias based on ethnicity rather than the other way around. Disagree with people certainly, but don't resort to lambasting them simply because their views differ from yours. Abuse doesn't substitute for argument, it simply reduces the weight of your argument.

If you ever feel that you have received a warning without provocation from any one of the mods, you have the right to ask any of the others to look at this. But, this isn't a court of law, if any moderator feels that you have been unnecessarily abusive to another forum member you will receive a warning. As Erol said, on a number of occasions he has sought guidance from the other moderators as to whether certain people deserved warnings/bans rather than acting alone, so to label him in such a way is out of line.

Anyway, I doubt you'll ever get the point others are trying to help you understand, so this has no doubt been a wasted two minutes typing this.
