HI
I am new to all this so please bear with me.

My brother is getting married in cyprus next year and we are going (family 2 adults and 2 kids aged 2 and 10 years)

I was wondering if you could get any good deals as I have checked and it is gonna cost around £3'000 for 2 weeks etc

Also would it be better going self catering or full board? what is the prices like in cyrrus?

Any help would be really appreciated as I don't know where to start etc!
Thanks
Diane70

Hi diane70 and welcome to the forum welcome

I assume it is going to be in South Cyprus, but even so that figure of £3000 for two adults and two children for two weeks seems VERY expensive and i feel confident that there is many a better deal to be had.

If you give the members a little more detail like Dates, Location (where's the wedding being held) , Special requirements, type of hotel, etc. then im sure of many replies. Wink

Hi Diane and welcome to the forum!

Where are you flying from, which time of the year and what standard of hotel are you looking for? This would be helpful in order to verify the price you've been quoted.

Hi Diane,
As City has said the price will depend upon the standard of accommodation and the time of year you will be visiting. Depending on where you stay, I would personally recommend a self catering villa with car hire to really get out and explore the Island and local restaurants.

Some hotel complexes also offer self contained villas (with B&B and FB as optional extras), as well as hotel rooms/suites, and in this case you will have full use of the hotels facilities as well. The best part of a staying in a villa is the decent sized fridge to stock up with plenty of fresh fruit and cold drinks - which is a must in the summer! Believe me, I have tried to squeeze a watermelon into a mini bar in a hotel room and it wasn't pretty!

If you are staying on the North of the Island I would be happy to suggest some hotels and I am sure our forum friends on the South, or who travel to the South, can do the same.

was going to go self catering but everyone says food in cyprus is expensive?

my brother is staying at the grecian sands and I think maybe getting married near there?

my mum and dad are also coming so a villa may be better for us? was thinking of a kids club for daughter aged 9?

Thanks for your help

Only if you frequent tourist haunts. In my experience, food in Cyprus is no more expensive than in the UK... and if you know where to go, it's a heck of a lot cheaper...

Well, Grecian Sands seems to be a good choice for a wedding from what I've heard.
Since you are looking for a kids club you will have to go for a hotel rather then some self catering apartment I'm afraid. Or you try to find what Leyla suggested.

There are loads of hotels in Ayia Napa that should suit any given budget.
Please note that July/August is high season with really hot weather and unfortunately high prices.
