Outage earlier today

There was a general outage ay the sites web hosters earlier today (affecting many sites they host)

As far as I know this was to do with access only.

No messages should have been lost.

If there are messages missing can people post here and let me know so I can investigate this.

I have lost messages. It seems like the forum "went back in time", about 30 minutes or so.

Are the missing posts from before the site went down of after it returned?

As far as I knew my hosters had connectivity problems.

However it would seem from these posts that a restore of the database may also have occured at some point.

I will try and speak to them tomorrow and fins our exactly what happend and why.

I had problems accessing the site all afternoon. At some point, it came back for half an hour or so, and we posted some messages, which now are gone.

I assume it was a cold reboot / database rollback thing.

I also sent you a PM during that time, asking what was wrong.

It would seem that the database has been restored at some point.

I will speak to the hosters tommorrow and try and find out what happened and why.

ive only JUST got back to uni...i aint that bad...although im sure my alcohol 'boundry' has been greatly increased...3 pints and not a change in my one bit.
