In case anyone (other than me) is using the newsfeed for the site, there are some updated options for this. Namely RSS 2.0 feed and Atom 0.3 feed.

There are a couple of new icons/links for these feeds at bottom of the page.

You can also control these feeds in various ways with the following 'line ends' to these URLs

f=x - forum id. Use data only from this forum to output RSS.

t=1 - only new topics (first messages in topic). Default - 0.

c=x - feed items count. If omitted, the value of 50 will be used.

topic=x - view topic 'x' only

nolimit - turn off "If-Modified-Since" record limit (by default)

styled - use XSLT style for RSS feed

atom - generate atom 0.3 feed instead of rss 2.0

examples

rss-atom.xml?c=10

Show latest 10 posts (rather than default 50)

rss-atom.xml?c=10&f=3

Show latest 10 posts from forum number 3 only

and so on.

rss-atom.xml?c=10?f=3

Re, proper URL GET parameters usually start with a "?" and are separated with a "&". For example:

rss-atom.xml?c=10&f=3

- or -

rss-atom.xml?c=10&f=3&t=1&styled=&atom=

Please tell me if I'm wrong or edit if I'm true. Wink

I assume you know how to add live bookmarks from RSS feeds to your Firefox. To change the URL of your live bookmark, simply:

- Right click it.
- Select "Properties". A dialog appears.
- Add the options to the "Feed Locations" link.
- Click OK.
