Biased Negotiation Framework Document Might Cause TR-EU Break Up
http://www.zaman.com/?bl=international&alt=&trh=20050923&hn=24423
Well it seems the end of the road might be nearer than we all think on the EU dream for Turkey, obviously the Republic of Cyprus has cut its nose off to spite its face with this whole 'recognition' thing and its too a bitter pill for Turkey to swallow.
Seems like 'Viewpoint' was right when he was shouting that partition is a real option and i was busy shooting him down. |

Brother,
Why do you talk as if everything is the fault of Cyrpus?
Why for instance does Turkey take such an uncompromising line with regards to this? Why does Erdogan call for a two state solution under a confederation? Isn't this taksim in all but name? Can't you see that Turkey has to take a big chunk of responsibility as well?
I think you place far too much faith in what the Turkish press says. I have seen very few objective articles. There is no critique of Turkish policy, other than to espouse the nationalistic line when it comes to Cyprus. |

The same could be said about your misplaced trust in tassos and the Republic of Cyprus, if he seriousley wants unity etc. then why chase down Turkey for recognition in its current form, which may i add does not represent the Turkish Cypriot.
Maybe because its Tassos who wants partition or to get maximal demands met to make us a minority and not partners in the state we created together that was then stolen with our rights by the Greek Cypriot hardliners like tassos. |

I think you are confused about your state and turkey. In turkish press, it is possible you can always see very radical and extreme anti-nationalist views. It is not like in Republic of Cyprus where EU offcial was not given any right to talk before the referandum and all the ones who say yes are blamed traitors by your president. |
