Just look at any map. Cyprus is an integral part of Asia. |

Are we Sumarian, in our origins?
Geographically, Cyprus is the centre, around which three continents have evolved. The existence of a people living in Cyprus dates to Neolithic times. I believe it is the reason that Cypriots are more socialised than most societies.
Whatever its origins, few cultures have had the opportunity to embrace so many influences, from which they adapted, sustaining their own identity. |

So, to actually conclude this argument...
Can somebody now answer 'yes' or 'no' to the question "ARE CYPRIOTS ASIAN?"
Personally, I would say yes. |

| Can't say Asian, because I believe Asian is us; older than that, as well as Occidental. |

Former Leventis foundation director and editor of the publication Vassos Karageorghis believes one reason for these significant migrations revealed in the findings is a large upheaval in the Aegean region, possibly brought on by a natural disaster that prompted people to flee to the shores of Cyprus, southern Turkey and the Levant.
At that time, he said, most of the island’s residents were likely to be traders and Semitic peoples from the Syrio-Palestinian coast, although Karageorghis emphasised that modern ethnic distinctions are not applicable to the period. |
