Is it hard to say Cypriot? Why say Greek Cypriot or Turkish Cypriot? Are U Ashamed?

And when someone asks me my origin I say Cypriot. If they ask me if I am Greek or Turkish, I say Greek speaking.

NB. Cyprus has three Official Languages, even if the Government of the day ignores its responsibility toward them.

I don't understand why we can't stand together and say we are Cypriot first and foremost and we want to put ourselves and our Island first. Secondary to that we can all retain our own heritage, whatever that may be. The old ways haven't worked, we need to stand together as Cypriots and create a new future for ourselves.

Good to see this thread still has legs...I have been away for a while,but it is as if I have never left...sometimes I wonder...are we all massachists who wouldn't know what to do with our lives if we didn't have the Cyprob to whinge about...The way things are going in 10 years time we will all be saying pretty much what we are saying now...A bit scary really...
