Here is a soloution - with actions & visions for the fut

Who Am I: A Cypriot, married with 2 children who wants them to grow up in a united cyprus.

Vision: Prosperity and peace for all Cypriots.

In ten years we could still be all playing political tennis in this never ending final set..

OR we could fix it - right now - Start!

The Cyprus Problem:

The main sticking points are many within these 3 key areas:

1)Balance and concentration of power within any unified government;
2)Turkish troop concentrations in the north;
3)The return of property relinquished by Greek refugees and since occupied by Turkish settlers.

How we can fix it
--------------------

I don't have all the answers but I hope we can discuss and look at positive ways that we can address these sticking points !!


I Propose the following:

1) One elected government of Cyprus; elections monitored for fairness by the EU and a new constitution drawn up that will be put to the public Vote in referendum. Government elected would naturally be those that appeal to all Cypriots.

2) All troops leave Cyprus. New Army formed made up of all Cypriots.

- British Bases turned into nature reserves and enterprise zones for the people. Places where new Universities, Industrial Parks and resorts are created by the state to encourage collaboration between the communities.

3) All refugees (given the option to) return to their property - Re housing for those non Cypriot who wish to remain in Cyprus or $300k cash to go back where they came from. EU funds spent on rebuilding the North, new wealth from Oil and Gas spent on pubic and community infrastructure.

Visions of the Future

Our motto could be:

One Cyprus that has an enriching mix of peoples who live together in harmony, peace and prosperity that will never be divided again.

A new citizenship that is democratic and proud to be Cypriot: We have a beautiful island, some of the most cleaver educated people; oil & gas, some of the best food and you’re telling me that we should divide it!

With the Oil Cyprus has alone we should be able to become a country with one of the best standards of living..

Your choice... If you divide this island it will be the people of turkey and greece that profit. If you keep it whole then Cypriots will flourish and profit as they did before.



Prosperity = Peace.

lets get started...who's up for this I need likeminded Cypriots please...

I'm willing to compile the results of this post and present to UN, EU, Turkey and Greece.

I'm sure there will be the usual "hate" posts from both sides but we can ignore those.. lets focus on the good, considered and responsible posts that can help us fix this bad situation...

And something a bit more brave !

You know what if I was Papadopoulos I would put this to the people :-

1) Accept this new constitution ( that we think is fair to all and has been ratified by Europe. and will ensure the sovereignty and security of our our people as one country or:

2) We will divide from hear on in and the current divided south of the Republic of Cyprus will be ceded to Greece and the no longer exist. The EU will then have one less member and Greece and Turkey will have what they want... the spoils of war. As for the Cypriot people it will be our brothers in the North that lose out - they will have to wait for the rest of Turkey to Join the EU - sometime in 2020..

As I said before I'm no expert, just putting things out there - someone with constitutional law needs to look at how this can be achieved..

Great ideas, the revolution is very close... I propose something two; all those in favour of a united Cyprus let's join to create Unite Cyprus Movement, a movement that crosses borders were Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots united call for re-union of our island

BUT remember most (Grivas, Clerides, Dentash and the Settlers) dont want any solution so we are both pushing shit up hill BUT! lets go!)

1: An even government: 20% Greek Cypriot & 20% Turkish Cypriot and the rest all the other communities:Poms, Armenians ect

2: All troops to leave BUT NO army: Just a EU force!
2A: British bases given to NATO and the EU!
ONLY Dekelia to be given back to the Republic of Cyprus!

The solution is there BUT will the 60% of all corrupt Cypriots on both sides on the island that have now become multi millionaire from this non slotion want this solutions OR any solution that will affect their $$$$?

PS the money to fund all this is not an issue: Turkey & Greece (5 less F18s), the EU and the US have more money than you can think!
They helped fuck up Cyprus so they should pay!

Clerides have made mistakes (of course what dp says is bullhists) but what Vasileiou did and why he doesn’t want a solution?

The one who doesn’t want and never wanted a solution is Tpap and the second is Lissaridis and the human trashes of Evroko and the brainless Darwin mistakes that support them.
