Sorry Moose, but uncalled for. I was just reporting a problem with the hope that it could be solved and you are wrong again to say that it was not effecting anyone because I could not post for ages. I think it is healthy for the forum if people point out when they have problems and can be called customer feedback.
Anyway like Leyla said.....Thank you erolz for a great forum and yes for some reason I got straight on this time.????? |

Did you ever consider that I wasn't referring to your original post? I was referring to the more caustic attitude being displayed by others. |

Sorry Moose but it did sound like an all round thing to me. Looking back though I just sensed an urgency rather than caustic attitude but I could be wrong. |

Hi Guys
Hope everyone is well. I am just here (I don't know for how long though) to report that I have not been able to log on to the forum for a while now and that is why I have not posted. I have almost given up trying. I have also just bought myself a Mac machine and although I managed to log on with it I could not see any text on the posts. Everything else was there but only a couple of posts had text in them and the rest were blank. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated. I have had to come upstairs to my sons Windows based computer to write this but I have not been able to log on even with that until now.
Thanks in advance

Aloha Zan,
I have had some problems accessing the forum using my PC (and using IE6) where sometimes all I can see is the green background and nothing more. I just use Firefox now on both my PC and MacBook and have encountered no more problems (it all works ok in Safari as well). Could it be a cookie/firewall security issue? |

Not sure what to try or what might br causing these issues ? |

Just managed to log on after 5 tries
Thanks Leyla and erolz
I am back on the windows again to post this because I could not see your messages in Safari. As Leyla says all I get is th green background but what is odd is that I can see some posts and not others. In DPs case I cant see any of his posts which is not always a bad thing So why some posts and not others.....I even tried to post on a thread ather than this yesterday and what I typed disapeared and then I was kicked out all together. I will have to format and reinstall windows to see if that makers any difference but my Mac is brand new so what tyhe hell is going on there I have no idea. I don't know much about computers let alone Macs for now except for reinstalling systems. Oh well maybe it is for the best for you guys that I can't post when I want to because I seem to be getting more and more pissed off with the way some Greek Cypriots are behaving on the you know what forum.I don't think they like me too much either.
Well I hope this post goes through and I am not talking to my self and see you soon if I can fix the problems. I will have to call my brother in that knows a lot more about these things than me. Abiiiiiiiiiiiiii................. |

Zan I think you need to call your Abi or the Ghostbusters to exorcise your IT equipment! I can see the forum ok in Safari. It's odd as the times where I saw only the green screen that's all I saw - in other words it was either all or nothing at all! I even accessed the forum from my Nintendo Wii (bloody good fun may I add!) and it worked ok!
Anyway I hope it sorts out! I am off to the Island in a few days for a few weeks of sun, sea and the beautiful Kyrenia and as far away from computers as I can get! |

Lelay have a good time in Kyernia:
I love the way you said Kyrenia and not Gerni!
When I say to the Aussie Gerni they think I say Gernie which is a high pressure hose cleaning machine!
Go to Akostissas to swim or Aspro Vrisis where the natural spring waters hits the sea!
BUT make sure you have someone to rub you down with the suntan lotion you can trust!
Zan:
GOOD NEWS!
I know this Chinese guy who is a student and fixes computers on the side!
BAD NEWS!
He lives in the Dandenong Ranges!
cheers!
PS How can I post my song "The Rock?" Let me know? |

OK I just experienced the IE 'green screen no content' phenomena myself.
What seemed to 'fix' it was going to 'tools' -> 'internet options' -> 'delete temporary files'
I cant be usre this was what made the difference but it seemed to work. If anyone else encountering the 'blank green screen' could confirm if it makes a diff for them that would be useful.
PS you do not want to delete your cookies as this will clear the 'log me on automatically when I visit the site' for talkcyprus and any other sites you have similar set. |

Erol, I wanted to do the crosscheck for you but apparently all was fine on IE today. No problems, all content properly displayed. |

I have had it coming up now and then on IE - as 5 minutes ago - but with a simple refresh it usually comes up... although it takes some time. |
