I am looking for a recipe for young walnuts in a sweet brown syrup which I used to eat in my childhood in Cyprus (it came in jars) - any ideas?

Hi,

That would be Ghliko karidhaki (Greek), or Ceviz macunu (Turkish).

They are more or less the same - loads of waters and suger at the end... Perhaps time to try making them...

Ahh ceviz macunu...my mum makes it every year but I haven't had it for a while.
