Hello All!
Going to be moving to paphos this year from blighty..
Can anyone tell me what type of internet access is available?
do you have cable style broadband with a modem or is it via a telephone line like adsl?
(then I'll know what router to bring with me!)
Hopefully plan to be doing IT work for a uk company while sitting in the sun!
Cheers
Skipper. |

Hi Skipper and welcome to the forum!
I am not an expert on such things but I guess from CYTA website you could obtain some useful info. At least about what CYTA has to offer.
Of course there are other providers as well. See here http://www.talkcyprus.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=14723
but I'm sure someone from Paphos will give you more details soon. |

There is ADSL available from 3 difference providers; CYTA, OTEnet and Primetel. CYTA is the old monopoly so when using their DSL you can choose from a range of ISPs for the Internet part. The other two are new private operators with their own networks.
For all 3 DSL networks the provider installs a modem/router as part of the service.
There is also a company called Cablenet that offers Internet via "Cable TV" - however, I do not think they offer the sevice in Paphos yet. |
