I just had to resurrect this post after what I heard in a local Tesco's near my parents the other week... and I am not joking..

A woman with her mischievous child said the following to him in one of the aisles:

"Stop it dedim sana be cocuk, ama durman oturman bir yere. Hade, get back in your pram annem yoksa almam sana chocolatcicik tamam? (I thought cik was bad enough but this was chocolatcicik!!). Rolling Eyes Laughing I am not very good at maintaining a straight face if I hear this sort of thing so I had to pretend that the contents of my shopping "basketcik" were the true cause of my of laughter when the woman looked round at me suspiciously ... Laughing I was laughing for hours.. Laughing Laughing

I would like to translate this for our G/C friends but I wouldn't know where the hell to start!

Yaaaa... cok funny..deyil be? Recently I also heard someone say "birak o shopping bagslari da box getir" (leave those bags and bring a box) LOL! Very Happy
