sounds like you had a good time guys! hoe it was!
funny story i thought i would share:
when my family went up to davlos this summer, my mum asked my bros: what do you think of my village? ,and they replied: eh, its like any other village...nothing special, except the beach is amazing. She was so suprised, and a little bit offended we think, especially since she had been bigging up the visit for weeks! lol
also, another story, when they went up to apostalos andreas, there were some Turkish Cypriots there, and my dad started talking to them, thinking they were Greek Cypriots (cos they had been speaking in english) and asked them where they were staying, they answered 'famagusta' and he said, what do you mean? what village in famagusta? like deriniea or something, and they said, no in the north. Without thinking, he replied, 'cor your brave!' (still thinking they were Greek Cypriot) and then the awkward reply 'no we're Turkish Cypriot' and awkward silence.
lol one of hte funniest stories ive heard for a long time. |
