hm, I can't belive that there is no band/live musicians available.
I know that there are still places with live music or Bouzouki bars.
And they still do it for the tourists and their 'Cyprus Night'. There must be musicians somewhere!
I think we spoke about that earlier that in many cases the traditions are kept alive better in communities abroad. This has to do with keeping ones identity in a foreign country. Its the same everywhere. Be it Cypriots in the UK or Germans in the States...
The home country develops and behaviours change while the ex-pats stick strictly to the traditions. |

We're still waiting to hear about the band.
It's a shame that some people are doing away with traditions. I hope that if I ever have kids they will always be in touch with their ancestry and learn about their culture (cos there isn't much to learn from my side!) |
