Hey Boys here is what I was sent when I queried the program:
cheers
Date: 2nd June 2006
Dear Sir
Thank you for your recent enquiry regarding the Cyprus episode of Property Developing Abroad.
Episode 2 of the series, which follows a British couple's search for a property in northern Cyprus, was scheduled for transmission on Tuesday 30th May. In the days leading up to transmission we were contacted by a number of individuals who expressed concern over the programme's content. In order to give us time to address these we decided to postpone transmission of the episode.
The programme was made for Five by Granada Productions. In researching the programme, the producers were extremely sensitive to the Turkish invasion of the northern part of the island in 1974 and to the plight of Greek Cypriots forced to flee the area. The programme explains the potential legal minefield prospective purchasers are entering when they consider buying in the north of the island coupled with the moral and emotional issues of doing so. Viewers will be left in no doubt of the legal, economic, and political implications of buying property there.
However, it is true that northern Cyprus is an attractive prospect for British property developers. The programme provides viewers with the information they need to decide whether to explore the opportunities available.
If there is anything further we can help you with, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Thank you for your interest in Five.
Yours sincerely
Margaret

| Meantime, CYBC reported this morning that the program mentioned nothing of the Turkish invasion or the potential legal implications making it sound in their usual manner that yet again,a great Britissh conspiracy was behind the production... |

You mean this is a lie, and that they will never have to pay compensation? |
