The EU Commission said after an initial assessment of the declaration that Turkey had met all the conditions for the start of accession talks.

The article fails to say the complete story. This is not the only thing the EU presidency said regarding the oral declaration of Turkey. What counts is what Turkey signed. The oral declaration is currently being examined by expert lawyers regarding it's possible complications. The Republic of Cyprus will decide what to do at the EU summit and more importantly in setting what she wants from Turkey in the agenta of Turkeys EU talks.A Veto is a real possibility.

And what would you prefer exactly?

It seems that conflicting reports are emerging from the tassos regime

And from whom is this "regime" been depended to survive economically, from whom it receives packages every month to pay its employees, and from whom does it need to take a licence even to open a check point? From Talat maybe? And what the people of Tasos do to survive other than selling stolen Greek Cypriot properties like the people of some real regimes otherwise called pseudo-states do? Are we getting confused as to the real terminologies here?

And how did you conclude that? Are you an expert lawyer, who advices not to bite? If the experts advice he has no other option but to bite, he will bite!

but in the end I think TPap would become a pariah amongst many European leaders should he actually do it. I also doubt that he'd have Greek support in such an action, so things could get frosty between he and Karamanlis.

Again you seem unable to understand that it is quite possible, and that he might not have any other option. It all depends what implications the oral statement might have. What you are talking above is completely irrelevant. We voted NO to the Anan plan and we did not become pariahs....

No confusion, the tasos regime is the thieves who stole the Turkish Cypriot rights and the Republic of Cyprus goverment and is guilty of using Turkish Cypriot lands for various projects like airports or selling 'produce' off our lands for the last 30 years etc. and fattening their pockets out of it and then claiming to represent the Turkish Cypriot when they are not even allowed to vote or get our properties and lands back.

Nope definately no confusion here at all, i can see clearly all that has/is happening.

To discuss on what? Didn’t you hear what Prendercast said? What each side wants is diametrically opposite. In view of this tell me what is there to discuss???

The Turkish Cypriots can always claim their rights in Republic of Cyprus. Why do you think they don't? So you cannot blame anyone that stole your rights when you yourselves don't want those rights.
The land on which the Larnaca Airport is built does not belong to a Turkish Cypriot The Turkish Cypriot in question owns only 3% of that land and it was expropriated for public use-not to be stolen and be given as a gift to settlers! The Turkish Cypriot can go to any court he likes even at the EU court and seek justice if he claims differently.

What isn't there to discuss, if you want to unify your island and represent all the people you try, try and keep on trying till you find a solution not bury your head in the sand.

Are you on drugs?, the Turkish Cypriot have taken the tasos regime to court and won but nothing has changed or been implemented.

And you can be sure many Turkish Cypriot are going to courts and sueing, and i am sure you remember the Turkish Cypriot who won at court and he still has not got his lands back just been offerd the use of another proerty, and you claim to believe in human rights, it seems only when it suits your agenda.

OK you may try yourself for ever to sell refrigerators to the Eskimos. Man are you incapable to understand that there is no point, no common ground?

Oh, really? Who told you that? Where is your evidence other than your hearsay?
By the way can I sue your Tala-land or pseudo-state tomorrow at any of it's so called courts, or would the so called law No 159 prohibit me?

May I remind you his name is Arif. So if the man accepted then what exactly is your problem? Run out of dope again?

Have you been tested for Alzeihmers, as your memory seems very poor, goto CF and read what we spoke about.
Little reminder to help you after losing the case the Republic of Cyprus is looking to change law to allow Turkish Cypriot voting (a right they already have but denied by the Greek Cypriot regime)

The man accepted for now as he has some where to live but he can still not sell or live in his own properties, that is all cypriots problem.

Are you drunk???????, i liked the saying, i did not say it is my motto, and my only enemies are the ones who try to harm me for no reason like the racists in the u.k and EOKAB members in Cyprus.

Or else I can revert with worse and you wont like it

Bro, MicAtCyp, you're both personalising this issue rather than discussing it folks. I would suggest that you both go and sit on the 'naughty step', but the forum doesn't have one, therefore can you both show a little more respect for each other and put your claws away please - this is how threads get destroyed.

Also Erol, is there not an argument reading through this thread for it to be moved to Cyprus-EU?
