Traffic History for 8/24/2005 6:00 PM to 8/25/2005 5:00 PM

PS I have noticed that the free trial I am on that produces these stats is a one month or 20,000 page view trial (whichever is the soonest) and as we are on 11,000 total page hits since the trial started we will not have them for much longer :(

I will try and do a final set of results when the trial ends.

Its amazing how quick we hit the 11000 page mark, i think we will barely get another weeks worth out of the free trial.

erolz, if you have access to web server's log files, than having stats is very easy and you don't have to pay anything for that. There are hundreds of free web log analyzers on the web that can do the job. One of my favorite ones is Webalizer. It is easy to install and configure and it generates some nice reports with graphs and tables.

If you need any help with this issue, let me know and we can work something out. Smile

Thanks for that. I will get onto my hosters and find out if / how I can get these logs.

If you have enough access to install software at your hosting server, than you can install log analyzer there. Many hosting companies provide some sort of log analysis too. Others, that don't, allow clients to download log files via FTP.

The sites hosters have setup webserver logs for me. To be honest I do not want to start trying to install server side software mainly because I am getting the hosting at no charge and if I start to try installing sw on the server side of things I will end up bugging them all day with problems and queries and really they need to deal with their paying customers and not blaggers like me.

So for the moment I have tried just downloading the logs and analysisng them localy and them uploading the output. I have used a programme called analog 6.0 to do this. I do not really know what I am doing and the logfile I am testing with is only a few hours of log stat usage but I have managed to create some sort of out put that can be seen here

http://www.talkcyprus.org/stats/output/Report.html

Like I say I do not really know what I am doing and there seem to be masses of options for controlling the output generate from the logs. I'll keep playing around when I get a chance and mybe Leonid can give me some more pointers as well Wink
