im not arguing with you bananiot, this is the widely held belief. I dont care how the historians, or Christians interpret the event of Christ's Crucifixion. the fact is the Italians killed Christ, no ifs, no buts and no maybes. Mitigation doesn't amount to much either. In any present day court they would be guilty of the murder of Jesus Christ and probably in a war crime tribunal too.
hmmm........
they didnt even tie him, they nailed him to The Cross, and they try n blame their actions on The Jews, and the world believes them............
amin. |

I am not sure your statement is correct Erol. What do you know about Turan(=Panturkism)? And how about the idea they have in Turkey that Cyprus belongs to them?

| No, wrong information. An azeri and a Turkish Cypriot can understand each other very easily. |
So the Azeris speak a sort of a Turkish dialect? What is their written language by the way? For exaple the mainland Greeks need months to understand the Greek Cypriot dialect and can never speak it but the written language of Greek Cypriots is normal Greek.
I would like to get more information about this issue.I mean how many countries other than Turkey speak Turkish/or Turkish dialects?

I also have a question for the general audience here:Presumably the "hate" of the Greeks to the Turks derives from the Ottoman era. But I understand there is an equal "hate" of the Turks to the Greeks. Where is that due.Is it an ection-reaction syndrome or is it because the Turks hate the Greeks because they think they were the reason their Ottoman Empire collapsed?
PS.I say "hate" because this lays to the nationalists I beleive. |

Azeri Turkish is actually very close to Turkish spoken in Turkey. I can understand 80-90% of what an Azeri says. I think they also use Latin alphabet but they have some Russian letters here and there.
Apart from Azerbaycan, people in Kazakistan, Kirgizistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan also speak some sort of Turkish dialect. I once watched a Kazakistan news channel and I could understand probably 30-40% of what was being said.
You know about Turan but you don't know that these countries speak some sort of Turkish? You think Turks are crazy enough to claim countries that have no connection to them at least at the language level?

Interesting question. I think it's partly action-reaction but I feel like Turks mostly hate Greeks because of Asia Minor invasion. Turks feel like they were stabbed in the back by Greeks when they were the weakest. At the same time, it doesn't make sense because Russians killed more Turks than anyone else really and yet Turks never hated Russians. |
