How easy is it to go on a tour to Syria from Cyprus?

I have heard that British citizens must have a visa to go to Syria but what if I use my Cyprus passport, do I still need a visa? how about Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus citizens do they have to have a visa or is that a stupid question?

Has anybody here gone on a tour from Cyprus to Syria? Please tell me your story.
