Hi everyone,
Do you have lots of bookmarks like myself? When you use another computer, do you get frustrated when you realize that you don't have your bookmarks? Do you like to see how's hot on the net and what's everyone bookmarking? If so, I have the perfect solution for you. Use a social bookmarking site. These sites let you save your bookmarks online so you can access them everywhere. They let you label your bookmarks for easier access and let you see what other users bookmarked. They also have FireFox extensions to make bookmarking easier.
One of the easiest ones is: http://del.icio.us/
My favorite is: http://www.blinklist.com/
Delicious has a simple user interface and easy to use but the only caveat is that all your bookmarks are public. In other words, whatever you bookmark can be seen by others.
Blinklist is a little more complicated but it has better graphics and you can mark your bookmarks as public or private. For example, if you have an online bank account and you want to save the link to it as private so others can't see it, you can do so in Blinklist.
I started with delicious but I moved to blinklist due to reasons I explained. The good thing is you can import your bookmarks from delicious to blinklist so I recommend that you start with delicious and if you like the idea, move to blinklist.
Anyway, as you can see, I'm pretty excited about this social bookmarking idea...give it a try and let me know how it goes. |
