The forum is currently uses a 'vanila' version of the phpBB forum software (plus a few security related add ons)
There are a vast amount of add ons available for this forum software. It is my desire that those that join and use come to consider it not my forum but our forum. If there are add ons that you would like to see on the forum then please just ask and we will see what we can do. |

Is a site that shows the many add ons that are available for phpBB based forums.
If there is anything you would like to see added to the forums and think we make it a better place for members then please post your suggestions in this thread |

Erol, given all the calls for a chat room that have resounded around the other place, I think if you add a chat room to this forum, there'll be no contest... folks will flock here. I'm not sure which of these will fit best, but I'm sure it would be worth your time investigating them.

| I also think the inclusion of avatars is quite important... helps to individualise the forum |

I will be adding some of these addons and will look for a chat add on.
This may take a while though. Firstly add ons are quite tricky to implement and if I get it wrong I could bork up the entire forum. Secondly there are some possible security implications involved in adding add ons to the site and I want to take some help/advice from some people before risking this atm. So it may take a couple of weeks before I implement any add ons. Sorry for the delay.
BTW we are using the most current non beta version of phpBB, which is 2.17 .Some hacks are designed for earlier versions of the phpBB sw. They may work with later version but then again they might not. If an add says that it works with 2.17 it's 'safer' than those that do not. |

No problem! We can wait, biz olana sukredelim(Pls translate, I don't know what "sukredelim" means in English). It is enough for now that we have a decent forum where we can discuss things. |

| I know this is cheeky, second post and all that, but is there any chance of a quick reply function? |

Good idea, I've seen it in another forum...
Erol, take a look at www.greek-mania.com if you don't know what Hazza's referring to. |

I can't view that forum without joining and I don't want to join it :)
I will see what I can do re adding a quick reply function. Things are getting increasingly hard to modify now as the forum get less and less like a 'standard' installation but I will see what I can do. |
