Do you think the EU should take the federalism route? Or should it just stick to/enhance "subsidiarity?"

What do you think the future holds?

Personally, I think that federalism might be giving up too much power for the individual member states. I like the idea of subsidiarity involving the supranational, national, regional and local governments.
But at the moment, one of the most important things the EU should be focusing on is climate change, and they can only really do this together.

I am a Europhile but I don't think that constant changes are the answer for the EU. Does it really need to "move on?" Can it not focus on the main issues such as integration, the environment, security etc... as a whole, rather than trying to extend/change the union even more?

I'd like to hear your views on this. Wink

For the EU to survive and become a strong entity i think that the federal route is the best option imo.

I agree, the quicker salaries, quality of life, products, services and standards are harmonised the better it ll be for everyone. Imagine taking the best out of each EU country. We could use German punctuality and efficiency with a French knack for living well, Dutch liberal attitude, a Belgium chocolate making skills, Spanish warmth and hospitality, and Italian fashion and design.
