Folks, as part of my aim to become 'more Cypriot that the Cypriots' Laughing Wink and because of my love of bouzouki music, I've long harboured an intention to buy and learn how to play the bouzouki. Does anyone here know how difficult it is to learn to play it? I've played guitar before, to a reasonable level, so I'm familiar with similar instruments, but any bouzouki experiences would be welcomed before I take the plunge... once I've learned I will be available for weddings, Christenings and birthday parties... I looked into trying to buy abouzouki and play it. Sadly, im notreally musical, but most of the bouzoukis i found were expensive. They are not mass produced like guitars and they are not really sold outside greece or cyprus, i think. Maybe your best bet is EBay?

Good luck...i'd love to play the bouzouki Sad

If you play the guitar like I do It shouldn't be that difficult. Its a matter of tuning the strings. I might take it up as well. Wink
