Saddest news of the day for me by a long way... an incredibly brave woman, who helped bring peace to Northern Ireland even when battling a brain tumour herself. Had the courage to confront the men of violence face-to-face by visiting them for talks in the notorious Maze Prison. Also a woman of the people, who was unpretentious yet at the same time an incredibly able politician... a rare breed nowadays.

Rest in peace Mo, along with the recently departed Robin Cook, you'll be sorely missed. Crying or Very sad

Read it today in the papers, i read about a third of her autobiography recently and she is a facinating women, RIP Mo Mowlem. Crying or Very sad
