dhavalos, the state did not prosecute them, a nationalist lawyers union filed a complaint against them, for insulting the turkish state, something the goverment certainly dosent want to happen, especially when they are under such scrunity, they cant do anything against it though as the clause is in the Turkish consitution. They will have great trouble changining the constitution also, as the opposition party has declared it wont support any changes to the constituion until the next regional elections. The above arrests have nothing to do with the current turkish goverment.

But a group of nationalist lawyers took that as an insult and the men now face trial and potentially up to nine years in prison.

im not saying it has anything to do with the turksih government, but that Turkey is not the perfect state that Great Turk thinks it is.

Some traitors should be arrested besides if i was to deny the jewish holocoust i would be arrested in the EU, but you want us to have freedom regarding Armenians while they still occupy 20% of Azerbaycan, why doesnt EU apply pressure on them to leave instead they tell Turkey to open its border with them. Also i dont think Turkey is a perfect wonderful place. Turkey has become to much like Europe adopting too much from them we should do away with there customs and laws and ways and go back to our ways which is the Islamic way.

Turkey is far from great with AK parti leading it, and the likes of Talat in North Cyprus is really shameful.

In fact all over the Turk world right now the leaders are useless, the last good leader who we should have supported was the President of Chechnya - Aslan Maskhadov. Now he was showing the way forward before Russia and there stooges (some Chechen traitors) managed to kill him. Free Chechnya, Stop the Russian Terror.

i agree.

in fact, in one thread, there was some research done showing that Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots are more closely related to each other than they are to their 'motherlands'
