I think bird flu is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Look what happened to SARS...swift action needs to be taken, an then it should be all ok.

| i dont know i mean 50% of sufferers die from it and theres no cure for it. it soiunds pretty scary to me. |

Yeh but SARS hadthe same kind of scare stories surrounding it.
All im gonna say is that it is not a pandemic yet, and it cant be transfered from human to human, so it is not as spreadable yet as a normal flu virus. |

| It's media-hype. SARS was far more dangerous because it could be transmitted between humans. So far, this strain of bird-flu has not made that evolutionary step. If it does, then yes, many people will die, but this isn't something to get hysterical about, it's not a new Black Death by any means. Unlike during the 1918 flu pandemic (which is also attributed by some to a strain of bird-flu), we now have the resources to isolate the virus and develop a vaccine soon after an outbreak. |
