How do Greek Cypriots feel about the music of Mihalis Hadjiyiannis? The young Hadjiyannis is new talent from Cyprus who is (if I am not mistaken) making a career in Greece at present.

I'm not Greek Cypriot but I do have a perspective since I listen to masses of Greek music and have access to all the latest stuff. Hadjiyannis has a couple of good tracks, 'Krifa', 'Mi me onirevtis' and 'Afta Pou Tha Leva Se Sena' spring to mind. Otherwise, it's pretty much standard fare, certainly nothing outstanding. My wife went to the same school in CY as him and he was apparently regarded by most as an arrogant poushti even then, so quite what he's like with all this fame in Greece I dread to think.
