| yes but as a compromise, out of good will they should be allowed to stay, its not their fault after all that they were used as bait by teir leaders. |

sadly Mehmet, the Greek Cypriots imo, think they are showing enough good will, by accepting that there may have to be a solution that envisages BBF/limits on right of return.
If however, right of return was satisfied, and a BBF was essentially scrapped, they may be morewilling , however i think hostility towards settlers maybe too great. |

| I understand that but I think this is an area that the Turkish Cypriots do not themselves have too much control over. We cannot just send these peole back and even those who havent been here for 10, 20 0r 30 years, those who have only been here for say 2 years, its still gonna be impossible to just send them back. I believe theres enough room in Cyprus for everyone. |

I agree with you Memo. This issue is going to be the most problematic to solve imo. |

| I dont understand how it would make G/Cs more happy to see the settlers gone. Its not going to change anything, whats done is done. It seems like some G/C want to take revenge by sending these people back, but let me tell you that T/Cs from all political backrounds do not support this. You ll be pressed to find somebody who does. |

Greek Cypriots will argue the 'demographic' imbalance of the settlers being there, and that they are more 'turkish', that Turkish Cypriots so there is a cultural issue, blah blah blah.
I think the problem Greek Cypriots have with settlers is that they are the ones who occupy lots of the 'occupied housing' in the north. If the settlers did not occupy the housing of Greek Cypriots, and the Greek Cypriots were given their homes back, there would not be such a problem . |
