Erolz hi,
I agree with everything you've said, except that the moderators shouldn't check whether a member is what he/she says he/she is.

| Some people may still want to 'lie' about such things, but if they lie about being Greek Cypriot in order to distort results of Greek Cypriot only polls they will have to give up the ability to vote in Turkish Cypriot only polls to do so. |
What about non-Cypriots who might want to pose as such, maybe with not so benevolent intentions. I won't mention names, of course, but from what I've seen so far, there are such people registered here*.
* Just to make it clear, I'm not referring to anyone I was talking with today. |
For the purpose of transperancy I think you should devulge the names of such people. Who are they? Or Who do you think they are? |

Can I ask that we do NOT start doing this here please. " fan if you must then PM respiridus and ask him.
Nothing but bad will come of public discussions about who is what they say there are or not. Please beleive me on this one. |

I just want to say... sorry for starting all of this. It wasn't my intention to accuse anyone.
As I've said to Tufan, I just noticed a couple of posts that were clearly anti-Cypriot (both for Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots). I'd just hate to see the people who have posted these being able to vote as Cypriots, that's all.
Erolz, please forget my previous suggestion. How about just some policing by the administrators? For example, if it is clear someone is imposing, you keep the right to remove him/her from the group.
I hope I'm not opening another can of worms |

I was using grenglish
And to make sure that you won't ask... Grenglish is a technique for writing Greek using Latin characters in a 1:1 substitution. So, the sounds are wrong if you're reading them as English, but are right if you are substituting the Latin characters with Greek ones and reading them as Greek.
We use it for writing e-mails and stuff. |
I know re... Mrs. Moose is Greek Cypriot |

OK, it seems that most people disagree... I can understand your opinion because I have the same reservations on "categorizing" people myself.
Let's let the poll run for a while longer, though... |
