Has anybody seen this movie? I must confess I fancy Sibel Kekilli and even Meltem Cumbul is nice in this movie. In case you havent seen it it is about a marriage of convenience between two German Turks, one an alcoholic mourning the death (I think) of his woman and the other a suicidal young girl who wants to be free from her traditional family. At the wedding they snort cocaine and...Did I mention she has been in and out of mental institutions and there are quite a few one night stands after the wedding where she sleeps with this roughly shaven German. Her husband by name only grows to love her and gets jealous (turkish style) and brutally kills the German guy. She then realises she loves him too. He goes to Jail, she goes to Istanbul. While hes bending over picking up soap in a Hamburg prison shower shes seeing guys and doing drugs in Istanbul. Her kraut killer husband over his prison days realises that he loves her, cant live without her and wants to make a go of things. he finally leaves jail (german murder sentences are evidently not too long) goes out looks for her, but too late as she has a child with some guy and has changed. He leaves for Mersin and never sees her again.
damn nice film.
