| The downside of gif files is that the forum can not create a thumbnail for the pics - something to do with gif licesensing issues. |

I been looking on google for a progamme that can do this and ic ant find one that i can work. cheers anyway |

Will not help Crash. Creating a thumbanil fo gif image (with sw that has appropriate GIF licsense) is not the problem.
The way the album works is you can either have thumbnails created automatically (for formats that do not need a licsense) or you create them manually. I do not want to force everyone to have to make thumbnails version of their images when they are jpeg, so there is no way to manualy upload an user created thumbnail (as you would need to do with gif images).
I could probably jam in a gif image thumbnail manualy but would have to do that myself for each and every gif image (after a thumbnail was created) which I do not want to say I will do.
We just have to live with this I think. Either I disable gif all togeather or allow them with no thumnail images. Only practical options I can see  |

since my plan did not work i say we make a truly Cypriot style cover-up. I think we will blame the CIA for corupting the attempt.
