| I agree with the player in question, he may be the same guy that I witnessed receiving a number of bananas thrown at him during a game against Omonoia and monkey noises whenever he touched the ball. Cypriot football has an awful long way to go to modernise itself. Everytime I've been I've been shocked at the behaviour of the fans towards both the opposition players and fans, it's like being back in English football during the mid-1980s. |

i heard monkey chants when i went, against the black players.
I heard some very extreme stuff this summer but they were playing a Turkish team so i can not call it the norm |
