Actually it was the bishop of Kyrenia that reserved you the place in hell. The Bishop of Pafos had promised to celebrate the "no" event with plenty of champagne and wine from his monastery's winery. |

Why is the church and its clergy getting involved in politics, there job is religion and spirituality not celebrating the 'oxi' vote, thats disgusting and shame on them.
It seems that the Greek Cypriot have learnt nothing and the priests still rule your lives like they did from the 50's and lead us to this situation. |

It is the older generation, the gran/dads that beleive and follow through with what the church says,all the time. The younger generationsare less suseptible,
but i agree, the church should not get involved in the state.....Makarios' legacy? |
