oops, I will have to consult my dictionary for a few of them as I'm not very familiar with technical terms...

Rear Bumper - hintere Stoßstange
Front Bumper - vordere Stoßstange
Front Spliter - I believe thats splitter with double t?
Its a bit difficult as I don't find an explicit translation for it. The one I have is Verteiler but thats a part in the cars engine where you don't have a front and/or a rear one.... it would actually be what you call the "distributor"

Rear Headlights - Rücklichter
Side Repeaters - if thats trafficators/indicators then its -> seitliche Blinker or Seitenblinker

Hope that helps....

used one. do you think it makes sense to have such big items delivered to the UK? Is it worth it?
They cut a piece out so that the "double" exhaust fits.
again no info about shipping abroad

new ones. looks like he ships abroad, but no price for that given

Talk about raining on my parade. I got all excited there Crying or Very sad

I am going to find about 50 items and bookmark the links onto a usb storage device. I will then get a german teacher to go through them and see.

Thanks again

why? Because you didn't think of the delivery problem?
You can always ask the seller if they ship abroad. As long as you pay, most of them will do it. A small parcel, like the lights for example should not be very expensive.

you can check here for prices http://www.dhl.de/dhl?skin=hi&check=yes&lang=de_EN&xmlFile=900088

good idea, I'm afraid 50 would be at bit to much to do that here via the forum

Thats what I meant. Wouldn't it be cheaper in the end to buy them in the UK?

I know the problem, I know a car-dealer here who specialises in british cars and he buys lots of stuff from ebay UK, engines , whole cars etc. He then goes over from time to time with a big truck to bring the cars here...

The problem is that most aftermarket VW parts are imported from Germany anyway. By using eBay i was plannign to cut out the middle man.

yes, ok, but if you buy them from a dealer in the UK he will have had lesser costs for the shipping as he probably imports a lot of them and therefore can cut down the shipping costs.
I think some serious price comparison is required here. Let alone the risk that is always involved when trading on ebay...
