The best ISP in Cyprus used to be spidernet but now it's clearly netway!
If you or are planning on getting i-choice in the near future then you must ask from Cyta that they DON'T connect you with their inferior Netrunner service. Tell them you only want i-choice1000/512/256 and then give Netway a call so they may connect you. Or register online at netway.com.cy
Downloading with Netway is faster as there are NO RESTRICTIONS (unlike Cyta et al).
Netway is among the few ISPs interested in growing their network while the other ISPs (like LogosNet) are happy with just a few thousand loyal customers and almost NEVER upgrade their network.
Downloading and Online gaming is faster and more reliable with Netway.
Netway doesn't win on price unfortunately. But the premium is definitely worth it when you try other ISPs in Cyprus!
Some important aspects on Cypriot ISPs
WaveSpeed: Possibly the most expensive, But you r broadband becomes a raging unstoppable torrent! I didn't know ADSL could be this fast!
OTEnet: Excellent service and quality, new services planned all the time. IS THE CHEAPEST
Netway: Not the cheapest but the best overall, especially service!
Spidernet: Uses proxy server which may cause problems and incompatibility with programs such as MSN and Bittorrent.
LogosNet: Uses a proxy like Spidernet does
Valicom: Not much known about them.
Cytanet: Terrible service, high prices, restricted internet service

Left Netrunner for Netway after your recommendation elsewhere. Let me say something about Cytanet and Netrunner.
On downloading from US based servers, I was getting less than 1kb/s, in fact, it was nearer 400b/s. Not just one or 2 US based servers but ALL. I called Cytanet and the best they could advise me on was to check the bandwidth metre which means sod all as its just internal crap. 2 weeks later, nothing still resolved so sent an email to compalints@cyta and support@cytanet. Still nothing resolved so I advised them to NOT send me an invoice as it wouldn't get paid. On the Friday, I get a phonecall from saying that Cyta have arrived to check my computer and line, which is no good to me as I work in Lemesos and live in Larnaka. I gave permission for the "engineer" (I use the term engineer very loosely) and he got the same problem. He checked with his laptop and hey presto, still the same problem. All he done was change my modem (what?). On the Saturday, I emailed Netway and OTEnet about their services. OTEnet haven't replied back yet after 10 days of mailing them and Netway replied back within the hour, which impressed me so on the Monday, I registered with Netway.
Am impressed so far, downloading from US based servers is working properly again at faster speeds than Netrunner and Cytanet.
So yes, I'll agree with Andy about Netway. Good post by the way mate. |

Thanks mate
It's good to see someone following my advice
Did you hear the advert for Netway on the radio? That just says it all really!!!! Their main selling point is speed. As an added bonus you get great service from people that strike me as actual experts. Not like cyta people (lets not go there ).
I hope we hear some news about PrimeTel tbh |
