THE KING has arrived on the island. The King of rock ‘n’ roll, that is – and he’s a Cypriot.
Mario Kombou won the most prestigious title in the world of Elvis tribute artists in August, when he took first prize in the Images of the King Competition in Memphis, Tennessee.

No, it's true!

I've known Mario for a fair few years through football!!!

Mario plays as goalkeeper for New Salamis here in London and he is not a bad 'keeper!!

When I see him again I'll suggest that next year he tries for that Celebrity Football Team that plays each season at St James Park against an ex-Professional IX.

Trust me, he is a great goalie.
