Gender gap biggest

I don't think the pay gap between genders is an accurate estimate to measure gender discrimination. The principle should be for equal output, equal pay. In some professions the two genders can produce significantly different output eg male dominating: professional sports, labour work or female dominating: secretarial jobs, nurcing, primary education. I am interested to see a study to be made on this.

Stavri, those surveys usually do make a distinction between the jobs/output when comparing the m/f wages. They do not compare a builder and a secretary for example.
The gap clearly exists.

not that long ago, in my lifetime, I saw gangs of women building our roads in Cyprus, while men watched. In the fields women worked, men danced and made music.

I'm not saying that men didn't work, but that equal work then as now is difficult to estimate. Needless to say, there is a gender gap, and it takes many different extremes, all over the globe.

Now, unlike then, the State educates the children, while all adults "work", and compete as individuals. But, the biggest threat to their freedom is the breakdown of the Family Unit, because without these roots, love is not nurtured, this independance can have no direction, except toward a Government which by providing for their interests, provides for itself.
