on this topic, i dont want to see any negative comment! just say what we can do now and your suggestions with points. if you want, you can criticize in other topics.

Artist,
Imo there is nothing wrong with not agreeing on certain things. In no country can people agree on everything. There is probably as much disagreement and dislike between Communist and Nationalist in the two communities but still we manage to have a healthy administration and peace within our communities.
As much as I disagree with Erolz for example, I sure we could possible be close friends just with a different viewpoint.
It is true that the debates often go off hand. that's everywhere and we have to live with it or transform it.
No problems were solved without communication. |

| We have to let our politicians know that we find the current situation unacceptable . |

dont worry artist....
if you stay here for a while, you ll start critisizing as well
besides its "discussion" forum.
if we agreed on everything there would have been nothing to discuss. |

Artist, soon I will publish an article on a newspaper I will give you a link and you realise that there are other who think like that.
I dare to say the Cyprus problem is very simple, why? because the extreme majority of ordinary people want to live in peace and harmony along side the other community. People have different opinions but that is not a problem. The problem is when we become opinionated. It stops us from listening and being open to other opinions. And, as far as I am concerned that is exactly what our politicians are doing. They are constrained from the past and most are not willing to be open to a realm of new possibilities. |

Oh artist! it is not "Dont vote!", It is Vote!, choose to destroy your ballot.
People who think that these two societies need to demonstrate their Humanity to the rest of the world, for the principles of equality, fraternity, and cooperation, with new and futuristic insights, need to take a position that sends a clear message to all the candidates: that none of them is up to the job that must be done.
Yes! make a big X across the ballot, enough of them will not be ignored. |

an article is very good idea! bravo. i hope more people like you do tha same with the newspapers.
however exceopt articles, more actions must be done. it is a fact that politicians use our feelings about the past in order to get a position into goverment. i dont believe that this is right.
first of all we dont need soldiers, neither greeks or turks. the soldiers must leave soon from cyprus because in not a nice thing....you feel like a prisoner on your own country! |
