Other than Primetel and Cyta/I-choice, are there any other ISPs in Cyprus offering broadband service, a company up and running now in Larnaka?
Having huge problems with my Internet connection, downloads taking forever, on US based servers, it takes 15 mins to download a 150kb file. Cyta don't know how to fix this. They have replaced my modem, and funny enough, no improvement........at all.
Anyone know of any please? Not interested in s way satelite connection before anyone mentions it. |

That will give you a clue as to how slow my "ADSL" connection is :( |

Ouch... wish I could loan you some of my speed... I manage 250kbps on a wireless connection here... Cyprus is really missing the boat by not investing in a nationwide broadband network...
Still, I think the government's more interested in investing in old fashioned road-building (the Pafos-Polis project) than in the networks of the future. An island-wide super-fast network is also something that could bring the two sides together if it was a joint project... somehow I think that's a bit of a pipe-dream though  |

I am under the NDA, so all I can say is that a surprise is coming your way. Hopefully, before the end of the year. ;) |

| Found a new ISP to go to. "Netway" who seem quite efficient. I remember Andy mentioning this on the other forum, so emailed them on Saturday and they replied back the same day. Will sign up for a month to see how they perform :) |

NDA = Non Disclosure Agreement :-)
I'm afraid you will have to wait Andy. |
