Welcome Foto,
As you are a Turkish Cypriot why do you use a Greek name?
And I think you mixed it up, Christofias is the president and Talat is the leader (may god make him a leader, perhaps a more accurate description of his position would be 'the special envoy for Turkey in Cyprus ;) |

hello foto, welcome.
"President Talat and leader X", makes me laugh; straight from a Turkish broadsheet. ...anyway no better than the "greek" papers: they are trying to score the same points.
In terms of the negociations though, they are the representatives of their respective communities. however Talat has not shown himself to be anything more than Turkish Cypriot, and very much a spokesperson for Turkish interests; whereas Chritofias (x) is demonstrating the qualities of a leader (and a President), that is to say for all Cypriots, rather than the "greek" cypriots for which there is an expectation.
...this is very telling since in a United Republic, Talat has ruined his credibility, without an effort to exclude himself from racial discrimination. how will he share power as President, of Cypriots? |

Political side of things aside.
This is the interesting part:-
In the North when you purchase a property it is registered with the Land registry in the North. This land registry is not recognised by anyone???
In the South you register the land with the land registry, which is internationally recognised. Not only that they have the entire island mapped on a "grid system" so they are fully aware of what belongs to whom "pre 1974".
There's an interesting show stopper!
