We are visiting Tala next year for our 10th wedding anniversary. Does anyone know any good bars/restaurants there please.
Thanks

Congratulations, what are you interested in? English pubs / bars or more traditional Cypriot / Greek / meditteranean?

Hi Stavrizatz

We like all kinds, but would really love to sample the local life.

by the beach in a little village there is a cafe where you can order your food in the morning, on your way to the beach, (or you can order the night before). tell them you'd like a boiled chicken with noodles, you can't get more traditonal, and if served properly, a little sun dried mint on the grated cheese, salad on the side and i like a ceramic bowl of youghart (made from goats milk) as well. ...hardy and healthy for you.

soufla you will eat everywhere, try and find the famous outdoor oven and eat reefi or kleftiko.

...the wife of the cafe owner can be convinced to make you pasticio (a pasta au four), tiropites (cheese savoury in philo doe), and sapnaxopita (spinach pie) to eat with dinner, but better to take with you as well for a lovely picnic the day after. i like okra, and if you like roots like potatoes and yams, you must try kolokasi, which can put a good irish stew to shame.

a really good taverna should be able to serve a meze, of at least twenty selections of food, on small plates filling your table, feeding you all night long your favorites while you drink.

welcome ann! kalosorise
