i m sure i did a similar post for this page a few weeks or months ago, never mind.

heres my favourite map


todays famagusta is nothing like this, it is crowded and home to some 40,000-50,000 people.

Ahhh, but being a mod, I have the power to make things 'sticky'... :lol:

Plus, if we ever do get tourists visiting to use this section, this might be useful...

do you see on the right hand side of the map moose, the sea reaches a little inland. that used to be a marina but is now dry where houses have been built in their hundreds, but you can tell from the look of the soil near glapsides beach that the sea was once there.

When I went to the Petride Museum in Lanacca he had fantastic maps of Cyprus on his wall form many dates through out Cyprus's unique history:

I know somebody who paid £1000 GBP for an 1886 map of cyprus. Was drawn by a sailor. was very not accurate but who cares :lol: :lol:

If i knew it was antique maps ,not much use to any 1,(ok so its a sweeping statement) i wouldnt have bothered looking.
Any decent upto date maps anywhere.
