Last night EOKA veterans announced on national TV their support for Kasoulides and urged everyone to follow them. No sooner did this happen that Chapfallen announced his support for Kasoulides on the CF!
So this coming Sunday it looks like our friends…
Chapfallen + Bananiot + Samson Jr + EOKA veterans
…will be walking hand in hand to vote for DISY! (Kasoulides)
Good luck boys, your Turkish Cypriot brothers are counting on you. |

But Loukis Papaphilippou, if I remember correctly, was the Sampson representative at the UN in those July 1977 days when the junta took over. How do you explain, GR, his fervent support for Papadopoulos first and then for Christofias?
Just for everyone to know, in this silly place we live. DIKO's Secretariat initially opted for Kasoulides. Papadopoulos then stepped in and reversed this decision at the Executive Council's meeting. Poor Karoyian, the DIKO President who suggested Kasoulides, was warned he stood to lose the leadership of DIKO if he did not follow suit. He duly did, and suddenly the whole leadership became supporters of Christofias.
DIKO is a corrupt party with no ethical barriers. They have always been like this. |

Diko opted for this strategy in order to get as many commitments as possible from Christofias on the Cyprus problem...
what are you suggesting? That they would be more correct if opted for Kasoulides? |

| opinion4CY, had you followed the events more carefully you would have realised that Kasoulides probably offered DIKO more than Christofias. What I strongly detest is this give and take orgy that we have witnessed this week which shows what a third world country we are. On top, the party that came third and was democratically rejected by the people, will enter the political scene from the window, having been kicked out through the door. |

Bananiot we have a presidential system in Cyprus. In order to understand what is going on you need first to understand how this system works...and it works with alliances and bargains (unless someone can get 50+ without alliance. As an example: can you say that in a different system Kasoulides and not Anastasiades would be representing Disy in elections? If it was Anastasiades and not Kasoulides what would have been the result? Noone knows...
So this is the system and the rules are known for all in advance!
Diko came 3rd together with Edek, Euroko etc so what this has to do with it? Diko has always been third and many times was in goverment with or wihtout president and AKEL being among the 2 biggest very rarely.
Cheers! |

| Hold your horses opinion4CY, save your breath, I know how the system works and I detest it. I do not feel any better just because this is how it always works, especially in a corrupt country like ours. Give me a Parliamentary system any day. |

Hi cypezokyli, It was a nice speech but don't really understand your suggestion. I suppose you mean that Kasoulides is not willing or capable. ?? If this is the case what has this to do with Karoyian and Omirou?
Hi again Bananiot. I would also prefer a parliamentary system! I am not challenging that…What I don’t understand is Diko’s fault of the system? |

What did you expect?
A pack of wolves and hyena all stick together! My uncle Zenon and his corrupt murdering mates are all getting their tickets for Free to go vote for their BUM CHUM Kasoulides!
Not only that IF that Dog wins he will probably give all his mates and their children GOOD Jobs!
He is the mirror image of that other dog Denktash BUT the ONLY difference is he wears a cross around his neck!
cheers!
PS: They should both be wearing the hangman's noose! |
