Please feel free to insult and debase me (or otherwise add your comment) as much or as little as you want. This is the appropriate thread for doing so. Enjoy :)
My personal choice is getting my ass stuffed through a key hole.. I really like that one!
Coffee (or tea) is on me. |

| Make your self useful and vote Kasoulides or Christofias and your life will have some meaning. For the time being someone should stuff your ass through a keyhole at least until you will change your signature. :) |

How about these:
Quote:
Wise men argue causes; fools decide them.
- Anacharsis
Quote:
The most useful piece of learning for the uses of life is to unlearn what is untrue.
- Antisthenes
Quote: It is just that we should be grateful, not only to those with whose views we may agree, but also to those who have expressed more superficial views; for these also contributed something, by developing before us the powers of thought.
- Aristotle
I like them all. |

Quote: Wise men argue causes; fools decide them.
- Anacharsis
Yes I always argue causes about everything (in the opposite with the fools that are voting TPap who just decide what they are patriots with out the ability to argue about their accusations to the people that disagree with them read this http://www.makarios.ws/cgibin/hweb?-A=2324&-V=index ), even for the holocaust. But smart is far from wise and for sure I’m not the second.
Wise is to reach a level where you will not have to argue with idiots and do not give a shit for them. Wise is useful if you decide to be an outsider. This is my quote.
Quote: The most useful piece of learning for the uses of life is to unlearn what is untrue.
- Antisthenes
Yes, who doubt about that?
The first and the only way to start you trip to the truth is to abolish anything absolute that there is a use to doubt about. This is my quote.
But this quote has a wrong translation, Antisthenis said what:
The greater way of learning is to be able to abolish the ignorance.
That is not something so wise as the translation.
Quote: It is just that we should be grateful, not only to those with whose views we may agree, but also to those who have expressed more superficial views; for these also contributed something, by developing before us the powers of thought.
- Aristotle
Yes Aristotle (I respect him a lot more than his crazy teacher Plato) have a point but the father of logic(Aristotle) could never bypass logic for a superficial view and he wouldn’t in any way loose his time answering to no sense and unable to learn idiots even if their stupidity could be feeding him with thoughts. But hey, he was wise.
----
The wise guy Antisthenes (a student of Socrates) had said a lot of valuable and quotable things like (like he said a lot of crap):
A town is destroyed when the citizens are unable to spotting the snipe’s (TPap) from the respectable (Kliridis).
When they praise you (Mr TPapmalaka) you must worry if you did something wrong.
But I like this quote game, I will return and I’ll find you a more appropriate one for your situation. |

My favorite philosopher from the ancients is Protagoras:
The measure of all things is the human.
For everything there is two aspect’s conflict each other.
----
Another good one is from Kikeron:
I swear what I would prefer to have wrong about Plato (TPap) than to see the “truth” with these persons (gnostics-religion lunatics, human trash that voting TPap :) )
----
In the opposite with judaochristian anti-philosophy spirit the Jews have wisdom and deep culture (hey they rule the world, they could do that if they where Christians or if they believed in truths and absolute?)
Truth is the safer lie . Jew unnamed quote that express Jew culture.
----
Friedrich Nietzsche is one of my favorite philosophers:
In the end, what are the human truths?
Its unquestionable human deceptions |
