and another question. if this guys party, is an AKP child, does it cause any problems between erdogan and talat ?

I don't expect anything from him. To tell you the truth, I don't expect anything from any party in Cyprus. There isn't a single party in Cyprus that has the courage and the vision needed to unite Cyprus and its people. All they are good for is playing games, scoring temporary points against the "other side" until the inevitable partition happens.

if it brings no consequence on the cyppro, would you say it would bring some changes to the internal politics in the north ?

if it is true that he goes for the votes of the settlers, could it make the rift (if there is any - i dont know) between Turkish Cypriots and settlers more politicized ?

the other thing that i would like to ask is if there is a danger of you guys importing a problem from turkey that you didnt have up to now: the power struggle between "kemalists vs islamists" ?

Maybe. His party will probably steal some settler votes from Turkish Cypriot parties.

Not really. There have been other settler parties before and they seem to come and go with no real power. So I expect this to be the same.

I don't think so. There are no Islamist Turkish Cypriots. As for settlers, I'm not sure if there are Islamists settlers but even if there were, they wouldn't have anything to gain by openly declaring their Islamist agenda in a place where the Turkish army is very strong (1 soldier per 4-5 people).

cypezokyli, there seems to be a misunderstanding here. Ahmet Yonluer did not establish a party*. Its only a movement, kind of an NGO. According to his declaration, with this movement he aims to unify the Turkish Cypriots under the "Muslim Cypriot Turk Identity".... :roll:

Really cypezokyli, there is not much to be said about him or his stupid "movement"...It's a joke...

However, if you really want to know about the future prospects, I can guarantee you that it will join the ORP (a.k.a. "R.T. Erdogan's Party") in a not-so-distant-future...
