| That's so clever City! My Maths is on par with a 5 year old so I put this method through the ultimate stress test (i.e. myself!) and "tried" to work out 24 x 38 and....it worked!!! :D |

| I'm just as curious City! Ask your friend if she has a formula for producing 6 winning lottery numbers as well please! If it's a big win I'm happy to share with my forum friends ;) |

Hey Leyla, I got my colleague to explain it to me and apparently its very simple. Let me see if I am able to explain it....
actually multiplication is based on addition. Sio when you would calculate for example 121x12 manually, and that does not mean a calculator :-) it would look like this:
121 x 12
------------
..242 (start from right, the 2 from 12 x the 1 and 2 and 1 from the 121)
121 (the 1 from the 12 x the 1 and 2 and 1 from the 121)
-------------
1452 (addition of the single digits of 242 and 121 that stand below each other)
so 1452 is the result and the grid the person is drawing only makes the 121 and the 12 and the following addition visible. The 1 and 4 and 5 and 2 are the dots the person is counting on each of the crossings.
Phew, no idea if you can understand what I mean.
:D :D :D
This is a very old method of doing these kind of calculation so I'm afraid I'll have to let you down on the lottery numbers  |

Hey City :) I kind of get it yes! Mr L was describing something very similar while we watched the video clip last week but as per usual after 10 seconds I was reaching for the calculator :)
As for the lottery, I guess I need to keep on praying to the number gods and see if they may assist me! |
