'300' Conquers Box Office for a 2nd Week
Sunday March 18 10:12 PM ET
Spartans continued to fend off the box-office competition as the battle epic "300" took the No. 1 spot for the second-straight weekend with $31.2 million, according to studio estimates Sunday.
The Warner Bros. movie, the story of vastly outnumbered Spartans defending against Persian invaders, shot past the $100 million mark after just a week in theaters, bringing its total to $127.5 million.
Hey I heard that Iran is pissed off with the movie:

When "Midnight Express" was first was released Turkey threaten everyone as well!
PS If I was Greek I would of been happy about this movie!

if i was greek i would be annoyed with all that crap on the movie |

| I think one should view these films for what they really are.Colourful, over exaggerated Hollywood productions, where attention to historical facts is not a strong point.Just enjoy the stupid thing and have a good laugh! |

300 is a bad ass film! I would recommend it to anyone. Don't expect a historically accurate storyline but the visuals are incredible. 10/10!!!

| I watched 300 last weekend. It's a good movie. As someone else said, it's not a historically accurate movie, it makes Persians look like aliens and 300 Greeks as super heroes but the story is good, the visuals are well done so worth the money. |

Mete I hate to say this BUT the Spartans where super heroes:
Most historian believe because of the Spartans, TODAY'S Europe became a democracy and not because of Alexander the great:
As for the Persians?
I call them Terrorists!
As for me I call ALL invaders Terrorists!
That goes for Turkey in 1974 and the USA in 2004!

Historians say Alexander the Great assault on the Persian Empire HELPED shape the future of Europe forever:
Other say it was Leonidas sacrifice that did this first and Alexander just cleaned up the rest of the Barbarians!
Look it up and READ what they say:

It was the American Forefather who studied ancient Greek culture and civilization that help shaped the USA into a free and democratic society!
He just made a Presidential Decree that on the 25th Of March it will be Greek Independence/American day! OR something to that effect!
