I didn't spend a lot of time in the north, but I have the feeling that this is partly exaggerating....
But then again, isn't exaggeration a literary means of making things more obvious, making the reader more aware of them? |

unfortunately there are truths in it, for example wether north or south nepotism is rife and who you know goes a lot further than what you know, the 2:1 ratio of settler against Turkish Cypriot is just complete fabrication albeit there are many, the corruption that he talks about imo does exist and as for Turkish Cypriot leaving in droves is just utter rubbish at best as at the moment there is a influx and has been since 2004 of Turkish Cypriot moving back to the island.
hope that helps. |
