OK
We now have a new chat feature for the forum
I decided not to go for an IRC based client just because IRC can be a security risk (with all the direct sending of files and the like)
The chat feature installed is java based.
It can be accessed from the front page of the forums at the bottom of the page in the 'who is online section.
It seems to work here.
Enjoy :)
Update info
OK managed to have a quick test of the chat system with mete
To be honest it's a bit less than idea. It does work but its quite annoying the way it refreshes the window and updates constantly.
Still better than nothing I guess and should do for a while |

Try it again bro
I think it depends on your connection speed as to how 'bad' it is.
Are you on dial up ? |

That might be the prob - your connection may be too fast :)
I am not really sure but I think there are various 'refresh' settings that are set for a blalance between dial up and lower end BB. Super fast BB might be the issue.
I'll see if I can find more info |

Erol, how's that permanent 'village idiot' tag for Thrill coming along? While you're at it, I think demetre would love that title too... |
